BEGINNING TUMBLING GIRLS AGES 5-11
Beginning Tumbling- Girls Class (Ages 6-11)
Class Length: 50 Minutes
Basic Tumbling skills are learned in this class. Kids will learn how to do each skill properly, with the correct form and technique. Mastery of basic tumbling elements are crucial to learning more advanced skills. Skills learned in the beginning tumbling class include, but are not limited to:
- Forward & Backward rolls
- Dive Rolls
- Cartwheel
- One Hand Cartwheel
- Round – Off
- Handstands
- Back walkover/Front walkover
- Beginning Back handspring
- Beginning Front handspring
- Flexibility and Strength Training
GIRLS INTERMEDIATE TUMBLING AGES 6-11
Intermediate Tumbling- Girls Class (Ages 6-11 )
Class Length: 50 Minutes
Your child should be able to do a good cartwheel AND a one handed cartwheel with good landings and control. She would also need to be able to do a backbend from a stand. Kids should also be able to do a controlled handstand with a good landing. If they do not have these skills down well then please sign them up for the beginning tumbling class. This class starts after the one handed cartwheels / handstands and backbend from a stand are mastered.
Basic / Intermediate Tumbling skills are learned in this class. Kids will learn how to do each skill properly, with the correct form and technique. Mastery of basic tumbling elements are crucial to learning more advanced skills. Skills learned in the beginning tumbling class include, but are not limited to:
- Dive Rolls
- One Hand Cartwheel / dive cartwheels and beginning aerials (cartwheel with no hands)
- Round – Off
- Handstand forward roll connected
- Back walkover/Front walkover
- Beginning Back handspring
- Beginning Front handspring
- Flexibility and Strength Training
We recommend taking tumbling twice a week for best progression although not required. We can see a difference with kids that come one time a week and those that come two times a week. You could add Intermediate Gymnastics or another Intermediate tumbling. You do earn a free class for adding another class.
ADV TUMBLING GIRLS AGES 8-11
Advanced Tumbling Girls Class (Ages 8-11)
Class Length: 50 Minutes
This class is designed for students who have learned the basic tumbling elements and are ready to move to more advanced skills. Kids need to have the basic gymnastics skills mentioned in the beginning class and Intermediate skills before signing up for the advanced class. Each child should have their back handspring down without a spot before signing up for this class. Kids will learn each skill with proper form and technique so they can master each skill. Skills learned in advanced tumbling include, but are not limited to:
- Back Handsprings connected with other skills or multiple handsprings connected
- Round – Off Back Handspring (connected)
- Front Handspring
- Aerials
- Front Aerials
- Standing Back Tuck / Front Tucks
- Trampoline Skills/Practice
- Flexibility and Strength Training
- Dive Rolls
- Handstand Forward Rolls

If they do not have these skills mastered, please sign them up for the beginning gymnastics class.

Mastery of basic gymnastics elements is crucial to learning more advanced skills. Skills learned in the intermediate gymnastics class include, but are not limited to:

When a child can do a back handspring alone without spotting or special mats then they can advance to the advanced gymnastics class.
We recommend taking this class once a week and adding the Intermediate tumbling class as well once a week. They could be back to back classes or on different days. This will help your gymnast get in more practice and progress quicker. Those that sign up for more than one class per week get a $10 discount for the second class which earns you a free class.
BOYS BEGINNING GYMNASTICS AGES 4-8

Class Length: 50 Minutes
